At Guanavista, sustainability is more than a buzzword—it’s a way of life rooted in understanding the land and protecting what belongs to it. Last week, we had the honor of attending an inspiring event at Harmony Hotel, organized in collaboration with two amazing allies: Biblioteca David Kitson and Nosara Green.
This event focused on the power of native gardens and how they help build sustainable communities. Environmental expert Andrés Santana led the talk, offering clear insights into why native plant species are crucial. They support biodiversity, improve water retention, and strengthen our connection to the natural world.
Nosara Green plays a leading role in bringing native gardens to life here in Guanavista. Their efforts show how thoughtful landscaping can support local ecosystems instead of damaging them. Likewise, Biblioteca David Kitson brought this conversation to the community, turning it into a powerful educational experience.
Moreover, Harmony Hotel offered the perfect setting for such a gathering. Its beautiful gardens, peaceful atmosphere, and dedication to sustainability made it an ideal location for learning and connection.
Most importantly, this event reminded us that true sustainability starts with small, intentional steps. Whether you’re planting native trees or designing a regenerative garden, your actions matter.
Thank you to everyone who participated. We’re grateful to be part of a growing community that respects the land and works with it—not against it.
Stay tuned for upcoming events, and join us as we continue to grow, protect, and celebrate native landscapes.
