At Guanavista, we strongly believe in protecting our natural heritage. On Wednesday, April 9th, we joined forces with The Seventh Wave Foundation for a beach cleanup at Ostional Beach, in the El Rayo sector. The event started early at 7:30 am and brought together community members passionate about keeping our coastline clean and safe.
This cleanup is part of our ongoing commitment to safeguard the Ostional National Wildlife Refuge. This refuge is a vital habitat for marine life and endangered sea turtles. By removing trash and debris, we help preserve this fragile ecosystem. This way, future generations can enjoy the natural beauty and biodiversity of Costa Rica’s Pacific coast.
Participants were asked to bring reusable water bottles, while the organizers provided all the necessary cleanup gear. Events like this show how small actions can have a big impact when we come together as a community.
We deeply appreciate The Seventh Wave Foundation for leading this important initiative. We also thank all the volunteers who woke up early to support the cause. Protecting our beaches is a shared responsibility. Therefore, we look forward to hosting more events that encourage community involvement and environmental care.
