This week is a milestone for Guanavista as we begin drilling a well to provide water for our development. We prioritize reliable water access for self-sufficiency.
In many places in Costa Rica, communities rely on the ASADA for their water supply. An ASADA, or “Administración de Servicios de Acueductos y Alcantarillados,” is a community-based organization. It manages water supply and sewerage services in designated areas in Costa Rica and Latin American countries.
ASADAs play a vital role in overseeing the sourcing, treatment, distribution of clean water, and wastewater collection. Handling billing, customer service, and infrastructure maintenance, they ensure residents access safe water and reliable sanitation services in Ostional.
However, here at Guanavista, we’re charting a different course. Our dedicated well will ensure that we can independently meet our water needs, guaranteeing a more secure and sustainable future for all of us.
As an integral aspect of our commitment to the local community, we are actively continuing our collaboration with the ASADA. This ongoing effort is aimed at further strengthening our valuable partnership with this essential organization.
Smart Water Management: Storing and Utilizing Water Wisely
Our commitment to water goes beyond having our own source; moreover, we’re implementing smart water management practices. In addition to traditional water storage solutions, we’re introducing innovative stackable water tanks that can expand in capacity without requiring an entirely new tank.
This forward-thinking design ensures efficient water storage and enables us to adjust our storage capacity as needed, especially during periods of high demand or dry seasons.
These stackable water tanks will play a pivotal role in maintaining a continuous water supply for our community. Furthermore, we’re dedicated to harnessing the power of nature by collecting stormwater for irrigation, which not only reduces our environmental impact but also contributes to keeping our landscapes lush and green.
Our sustainable approach to water management signifies not only our unwavering commitment but also underscores our dedication to prioritizing the well-being of our community. Additionally, it highlights our commitment to the preservation of our natural surroundings.
We’ll keep you updated on the progress of this project and other community initiatives in our upcoming newsletters.
Thank you for being a part of the Guanavista community. Together, we’re building a brighter, more sustainable future. Feel free to contact us for more information.
Warm regards,
The Guanavista team
